Toyota Oil Pump Seals
|
![]() |
If your oil pump seals are leaking, then at minimum, you should be sure to regularly check your oil level to avoid catastrophic damage to the engine for lack of oil.
However, even with slow leaks there is good reason to repair them. Often, oil leaks are a result of seals that have gotten hard with age. These hardened seals tend to wear a groove into the sealing surface, which increases the likelihood that the metal sealing surface will need to be repaired as well. This is a fairly common problem with oil pumps on engines with higher miles. |
